Our intention with this multimedia presentation is to remind our audience of the importance of hope in times of crisis. One way hope is communicated to society is by the non-profit organizations that dedicate themselves to assisting people in times of need. We have dedicated our time and research to the South Bend Center for the Homeless. This organization continuously provides assistance to over 200 members of the homeless community.
Given that our economy is in a state of crisis, it is inevitable that the strains will be felt by the South Bend Center for the Homeless as well as its guests. As a result of the current economic status less money is available for donations and funding. In addition, more people are in need for the services provided by the Center.
Non-profit organizations, such as the South Bend Center for the Homeless, are a necessary component to surviving the economic crisis. Those individuals and families who walk through the doors of non-profit organizations commit to optimism and opportunity and find support on their journey out of despair. For this reason is it very important to draw attention to the people and programs of these organizations. In this time of crisis we must get involved in hope, opportunity, and community – by understanding and supporting our non-profit organizations.
